Why parking your real estate license?

Need time away from your real estate business for personal or business reasons?

MMH Solutions offers a simple, affordable solution to keep your real estate license active with RECA without paying Board, AREA, MLS or CREA fees.

You can stay parked as long as you need. "Parked" means your license stays active under MMH Solutions (and still licensed with RECA), not cancelled.

It’s completely flexible, with no penalties or restrictions and you can step back into real estate instantly whenever you’re ready.

All while keeping your license in good standing and saving thousands of dollars every year.

MMH Solutions operates as a referral‑only, non‑trading brokerage, giving Alberta REALTORS® a simple way to keep their license active without board fees.

Whether you call it parking, hanging, holding or keeping your real estate license active without trading, MMH Solutions provides a compliant, low‑cost way to maintain your Alberta real estate license without paying board or association fees.

Common reasons REALTORS® choose to park their license:

Stepping back from the costs and obligations of active real estate doesn’t mean stepping away from your license. With MMH Solutions, you can pause the trading side of your business avoiding Board, AREA, MLS, Franchise and CREA fees while keeping your license active with RECA, protected under MMH Solutions and ready for the future.

Benefits of parking your license with MMH Solutions :

Avoid RECA re‑education

If your license remains unregistered for three years, RECA requires you to restart your education and complete all exams again.

Parking your license with MMH Solutions keeps you active, compliant and protected.

So you never risk losing your credentials or repeating costly coursework.

With MMH Solutions, you can:

Avoid the 12‑Month Fingerprint Requirement

If you leave your brokerage and remain unregistered for more than 12 months, RECA requires you to complete a new certified criminal record check with fingerprints before your license can be reactivated.

This adds extra cost, processing time, and administrative steps, often at the exact moment you’re ready to return to real estate.

Parking your license with MMH Solutions keeps you continuously registered with RECA, which means you avoid the fingerprint requirement entirely.

Transferring sooner ensures you stay compliant, protected and able to return to practice without delays or unexpected expenses.
