1. What is real estate license parking?
Real estate license parking means placing your license with a referral‑only, non‑trading brokerage that is licensed with RECA only. We are not members of any real estate board, AREA or CREA, which means you don’t pay board dues, AREA fees, CREA fees or MLS® fees while your license is parked. Your license stays fully active with RECA, you avoid re‑education and you remain eligible to earn referral income. You can return to a trading brokerage anytime.

It’s ideal for REALTORS® who want to step back from active trading, whether for family time, maternity leave, career changes, retirement, or simply to avoid the cost and pressure of full‑time real estate while still keeping their license active.
3. Can I still earn referral income while my license is parked?
Yes. You can earn referral fees by connecting clients with active agents. Many REALTORS® park their license specifically to earn referral income without the demands of day‑to‑day trading.
Most transfers are completed within 1–3 business days, depending on RECA processing times.
No. Even though our brokerage is based in Calgary, we operate across the entire province. Whether you’re in Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge or anywhere else in Alberta, you can park your license with us. We work with REALTORS® from all regions.
We offer two simple options: a monthly fee or a yearly fee. Most agents choose whichever option fits their situation best. If you want exact pricing, just reach out. We’ll give you the numbers with no pressure and no surprises.
Because MMH Solutions is a referral‑only, non‑trading brokerage, our fees stay low. We don’t charge board, AREA or CREA fees because we are not members of those organizations.
If you decide to return to active trading later, MMH Solutions does not charge any reactivation fee.
However, returning to a trading brokerage does come with the standard industry costs, such as: RECA (license transfer fee), your new trading brokerage, your real estate board, AREA and CREA. These fees are normal for any agent returning to trading and are not charged by us.
7. Can I return to active trading later?
Yes. You can move your license from MMH Solutions back to any trading brokerage whenever you’re ready. The process is simple. You request a transfer through RECA, and your new brokerage accepts it.
Because MMH Solutions is a referral‑only, non‑trading brokerage, we do not handle trading activities or reactivation fees. When you decide to trade again, you simply join a full‑service brokerage and resume normal trading.
8. Do you help with the transfer paperwork?
Yes. We guide you through the entire process and ensure everything is submitted correctly to RECA.
9. Is there a minimum commitment?
No. You can park your license for as long or as little as you need. There are no penalties, no contracts and no restrictions.

Yes. RECA requires all licensed industry professionals to complete their mandatory Continuing Education each year. Parking your license with MMH Solutions does not remove this requirement. You must still complete RECA’s annual education to keep your license active and in good standing.
Yes. All active real estate licensees in Alberta must maintain E&O insurance through REIX. This is a RECA requirement, not a brokerage fee. REIX premiums are paid annually. Your insurance remains active as long as your license is active with RECA even when parked with a referral‑only brokerage like MMH Solutions.
No. MMH Solutions is a referral‑only, non‑trading brokerage, which means you cannot represent buyers or sellers, write offers, market listings or access MLS®. This is exactly why the cost is so low.
